Greetings Everyone;

I am Meg, the main admin and forum creator of Atrum Vox; The Powers of Dark. For the last 8 months, due to my inability to access the forum, AV has been on a hiatus, shut down. The good news is the wait is over. Armed with a new skin, a few modified plots and a new administrator (welcome, Damien), Nicci and I are reopening the site within the next couple of days and you are all cordially invited to join. Canons, Plot Canons and Original characters are all welcome and everyone is welcome to create their own subplot for consideration by the administrators. Following the opening of the site updates will be posted here by Nicci, Damien or Myself (we shall identify who it is in our post) in order to keep you updated on the forum, our statistics and anything interesting that is happening around the board. For now, however, let me give you a bit of a rundown on the site and what we are about. Atrum Vox (literally meaning Dark Powers in Latin) is an AU future Harry Potter RPG that takes place 20 years after the final battle between the Dark and Light. Harry Potter has won the battle against Voldemort... But at a price! What price will Harry have to pay for ridding the Wizarding World of the Darkest Dark Lord to grace their presence in centuries? Will he be willing to pay it? Will he have a choice?

As you can tell we are a future based Harry Potter RPG forum set in the year 2018. Harry Potter has defeated Lord Voldemort but things are not going according to plan for anyone. Hermione Granger-Weasley was murdered five years ago and this gave everyone the proof they needed that the break outs from Azkaban prison were not just nasty co-incidences. People are starting to take sides once more and things are getting out of control, fear is spreading through the wizarding world more than it did while Voldemort was alive. Meanwhile; the children of the trio, their friends, their enemies and even some people they have never met, are gearing up to attend Hogwarts. With new professors, and some old, they are sure in for an interesting year. But don't let this fool you, our site is not all about the canons, oh no. Subplots are created by the admins for our canons on the site but we welcome you to give us ideas regarding your original characters as well, we don't want you to be left out of the loop.

Characters from all walks of life are welcome as are good, evil and neutral characters.

Bodies littered the Great Hall as Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort stood at the center of it all, taunting each other before finally striking. The Avada Kedavra cast, turned back on its caster because of a simple Expelliarmus, engulfed Lord Voldemort, ripping his soul from his body and into the word of the dead. There was a flash of light that prevented those who had stopped to watch from seeing the dark magic that, instead of returning to the earth like most magics of the deceased, flew itself toward Harry Potter, absorbing itself into his system where it would lie dormant for years. A backwash of magic signaled that the Dark Mark had changed ownership, something that confused the remaining Death Eaters greatly. When the light finally cleared the remnants of the Light Side cheered. Voldemort was dead, his reign of terror was over. Or so they thought...

The Present Day (2018)

Things are getting worse for the wizarding world once more. Death Eaters who were sentenced to Azkaban have been released and are now being hidden away somewhere, many people swearing that they are seeing them in the Wizarding towns around. Harry Potter is getting worse, withdrawing from his family further than before and now disappearing for days on end with no word to his wife. No longer does he read to Lily Luna or talk defense with Albus Severus, no longer does he plan pranks with James Sirius or spend time with Ginevra, his lovely wife. His family isn't as important as it once was. Muggleborns are disappearing and five years ago Hermione Granger-Weasley turned up dead with no clue as to who her murderer was. Several years after the war claims from residents of Hogsmeade that they had seen Severus Snape wandering around began making their way to the Ministry. Of course only the oldest residents of the town believed the rumors, after all they were the ones who had seen Severus Snape as a young man.
